CO-CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CO-CEO)

Anthony Whelan is Co-Chief Executive Officer (Producer / Entertainment Manager) of Shadowhawk Entertainment (SE). Anthony is responsible for managing global entertainment and business development, and is supported by Edwina Forkin (Producer) at Zanzibar Films for film finance and packaging. Anthony is also the Chief Executive Officer of the group holding company, Whelan Enterprises (WE) and manages the group portfolio and group stock investments.

Whelan studied at DCU in Dublin, Ireland and he started his career in the industry in 1998 when he promoted a murder mystery weekend and managed a music festival in Co.Meath, Ireland. His first break into the entertainment industry came when RTE Producer/Director, Brian Eustace connected with Whelan following a submission he had made to the Irish Television Broadcasting Studio. Through Eustace, who mentored him, he began gaining experience on film and television projects such as Crush Proof (1998), the MTV Europe Music Awards (1999) held in Dublin, Ireland, Veronica Guerin (2003) and Most Haunted (2004). At Shadowhawk Entertainment, Anthony Whelan has negotiated, secured and maintained entertainment contracts for both on front and behind the camera for many clients, production and distribution projects in Ireland, the UK and the US.
