CO-CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CO-CEO)

Anthony Whelan is Co-Chief Executive Officer (CO-CEO) of Shadowhawk Entertainment (SE) and is a Board Member for the Entertainment Group (EG). Anthony also serves as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) & Co-Chairperson of Whelan Enterprises (WE) aka Whelan Global (WG), which is the holding company for Shadowhawk Entertainment and assets of the Entertainment Group. Anthony manages the group portfolio for business ventures, investments, business development, communications, film finance and packaging. He is supported in his role by Lisa Multaney (DCEO) for Whelan Enterprises and Edwina Forkin (CEO) of Zanzibar Films.

Whelan studied at DCU in Dublin, Ireland and he started his career in the industry in 1998 when he promoted a murder mystery weekend and managed a music festival in Co.Meath, Ireland. His first break into the entertainment industry came when Producer/Director, Brian Eustace from RTE connected with him following a submission he had made to the Irish Television Broadcasting Studio. Through Eustace, who mentored him, he began gaining experience on film and television projects such as Crush Proof (1998), the MTV Europe Music Awards (1999) held in Dublin, Ireland, Veronica Guerin (2003) and Most Haunted (2004). At Shadowhawk Entertainment, Anthony as a producer, promoter and entertainment manager has negotiated, secured and maintained entertainment contracts for both on front and behind the camera for many clients, production and distribution projects in Ireland, the UK and the US.
